SEO and SERP

SEO (Search Engine Optimization):

    • SEO is the practice of optimizing websites to improve their visibility and ranking on search engines.
    • It involves various techniques and strategies aimed at making a website more relevant and authoritative in the eyes of search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo.
    • SEO efforts include optimizing website content, improving site speed and user experience, acquiring backlinks from reputable sources, and using relevant keywords.
    • The goal of SEO is to increase organic (non-paid) traffic to a website by improving its position in search engine results.

SERP (Search Engine Results Page):

    • SERP refers to the page displayed by search engines in response to a user’s search query.
    • It is the actual page of results that users see when they perform a search using a search engine like Google, Bing, or Yahoo.
    • SERPs typically include a mix of organic search results, paid advertisements (such as Google Ads), and other features like featured snippets, knowledge panels, and related searches.
    • The layout and contents of SERPs can vary depending on factors like the user’s location, search history, device type, and the specific search query.
